Volunteering:

  • This will be our biggest event of the year, and you can help make this a great event by volunteering to judge

  • Please sign up to help at https://signup.com/go/qyvzTyd

  • Never judged before? No problem! Complete our online training before the competition (it takes about an hour and is free) and note in the signup that this will be your first time judging, and we will pair you with an experienced judge

  • We are still in need of judges!

Format:

  • This is a two day event: Qualification Round on Saturday and Final Round on Sunday

  • Both rounds are isolation format

  • Qualifier round for each category is 5 problems, 5 on / 5 off

  • No semi-finals round

  • Final round for each category is 4 problems, 5 on / 5 off (IFSC semi-final format)

  • Quota to Finals will be determined by Rule 11.12: Based on current numbers, six (6) athletes will advance to Finals in the Youth D, Youth C and Junior categories, and seven (7) athletes will advance to Finals in the Youth B and Youth A categories

  • Please see our rules for additional information

A note on isolation for those new to this format:

  • An isolation zone (ISO) will be in effect for all age categories

  • Only athletes, certified coaches and officials are allowed into ISO

  • Competitors and coaches must check into ISO by the designated ISO close times, regardless of athletes are scheduled to climb in the running order

  • Competitors must stay in ISO until it is their turn to compete

  • Once in the competition area, competitors may not communicate with anyone other than officials until they are finished competing

  • Spectators can provide encouragement (e.g., “You’ve got this!”), but they cannot provide any information or advice that would be considered coaching (i.e., “use the green hold”, “there’s a hold around the corner”, “take a break”, “breathe”, “use a heel hook”)
