Board of Directors

OCF directors each serve a 2-year term, overlapping such that 3 or 4 of the directors’ terms expire each year. New directors are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. 

The OCF Board meets once or twice a month. Meetings have been held virtually since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Maria Richardson, Chair

    Maria owns Climber’s Rock in Burlington and has been a part of the competition scene for over 15 years both nationally and internationally. She is a former military prosecutor with the US Air Force and was a litigator in private practice before moving to Canada.

  • CB Ball, Vice Chair

    CB is the director of a project management firm that oversees projects ranging from custom home builds, entire apartment complex reconstruction and industrial/commercial redevelopment. His daughter competes across Ontario and CB also enjoys climbing recreationally.

  • Hansen Law, Treasurer and Registrar

    Hansen has over a decade of experience in finance, specifically in banking. He also enjoys climbing alongside his son for the past several years and has developed a strong and loving passion for the sport.

  • Kelly Duffin, Secretary

    Kelly is a strategy and transformation leader with broad-based experience across strategy development, strategic planning, and organizational change and transformation in consumer industries. With a competitive background in figure skating, she brings a wealth of sports-related experience to the board. Kelly also has children involved in climbing.

  • Sarah Kostadinov, Director at Large

    Sarah is one of the owners of Aspire Whitby and has been climbing for 15+ years. She also holds 15+ years of business leadership, brand marketing and strategic planning experience within the hospitality industry and currently serves on the Town of Whitby's Tourism Committee. When Sarah isn't climbing or working, she's spending her days with her toddler.

  • Kevin French, Director at Large

    Kevin is the owner/operator of Climb Muskoka, and has joined the OCF Board in an effort to assist in the continued growth and development in the sport.

  • Rodney Fajardol, Director at Large

    Rodney provides a history of spearheading engaging climbing programs, coaching, and fostering inclusive fitness and health environments. He offers a blend of leadership, marketing/event planning acumen, and athlete support. Passionate about driving organizational growth through strategic problem-solving, Rodney brings a dedicated, results-driven approach to the Ontario Climbing Federation.
