Safe Sport

The Ontario Climbing Federation (OCF) is committed to practicing safe sport and ensuring our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and staff are provided with a safe and positive environment in which to compete, learn and develop.

Safe sport practices are the responsibility of all members and while we expect everyone to adhere to our policies and procedures, we also encourage anyone who has seen an incident take place to report it via the relevant processes outlined below.

Policies and Procedures
It is important for all participants of the climbing community to familiarize themselves with OCF’s Safe Sport Policies in order to educate themselves on how to recognize and report incidents of harassment and/or abuse.

As a start, all OCF participants and stakeholders should read the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS), as amended from time to time by the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC), and the OCF Code of Conduct and Ethics, as amended from time to time by the OCF Board of Directors.

Our relevant Safe Sport policies can be found below, and are also available on our Constitution and Policies page.
