An OCF board meeting was held on Saturday September 12 at 1pm in Burlington

  • Attendees: Kellen Tapley, Sheila Marks, Shaun Hunter, Lorraine Winger, Gillian Wyett, via telephone: Jeff Whattam, Kari Robson.

  • Regrets: None

Summary of motions passed:

National memberships

The cost of youth and Open national memberships will purchased through the OCF be set at $50.

OCF acceptance of cash payments

All OCF and national memberships for the 205/2016 series must be purchased online.

Competitors who do not pay online will have to pay the gym directly.

Use of surplus from 2014/2015 series

2 computers (for use by the treasurer, registrar and secretary), a tablet and cover (for use by the head judge during OCF competitions) and a colour printer to be purchased with the surplus from the 2014/2015 series.

Budget for the 2015/2016 series

The budget for the 2015/2015 series was discussed and a version adopted for the series.

 

Other issues discussed:

  • Financial report.

  • Plans for the 2015/2016 season were discussed including the issuance of an athlete/parent information booklet, the schedule for the first local competition, how to identify coaches during OCF events, and OCF support if an Ontario gym is awarded a National championship.

  • Discussion regarding insurance coverage.

  • Discussion re: need for transparency with regards to skills required for an effective board.

  • Date of the next meeting will be October 4 at 6:30pm.
