The OCF Board met in Burlington on June 8th, 2014.
A vote was held to elect new board members to replace those that resigned. Gillian Wyett was voted in for the 2 year term, and Malek Taleb was voted in for the one year term. The board decided to buy a camera/DVR system for use in competitions, to support video review for appeals. Potential avenues for fundraising were discussed, with the idea of using those funds to expand on the initial camera system. There was also a discussion about potential future funding of Ontario athletes traveling to compete internationally.
Jeff Whattam (outgoing Treasurer) gave the report for the 2013/14 season. He will be meeting with the current Treasurer, Kari Robson, to transition this work very soon. Tim Vince gave an update on the national board, with the framework of the 2014/15 competition season to be determined at their next meeting mid-June. In addition to this, a transfer of the accounts from the ACC to the CEC has been identified as the next step in formalizing the transfer.
